The role you'll contribute:
The Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for the efficient processing of provider applications at AdventHealth DeLand for appointment, reappointment and additional privileges to provide accurate information to medical staff leadership with which to assess competency and grant privileges. Serves as a contact person for Medical Staff credentialing and privileging at AdventHealth DeLand. Provides technical and clerical assistance to facilitate effective and efficient operation of the Medical Staff Office, utilizing knowledge of office systems, as well as judgment in making decisions according to established procedures.

Credentialing & Privileging
+ Coordinates the appointment, reappointment, and privileging processes for physicians and mid-level providers in accordance with AdventHealth DeLand protocols.
+ Investigates and resolves discrepancies, delays, and variances in credentialing documentation.
+ Obtains and verifies missing information required to complete the credentialing process efficiently and accurately.
+ Prepares invoices and ensures payment of credentialing fees.
Data Management & Reporting
+ Maintains an up-to-date credentialing database and/or spreadsheets to support continuous monitoring and reporting.
+ Generates accurate medical staff rosters and distributes regular updates to appropriate hospital departments.
+ Collects and organizes data for Medical Staff evaluations.
Compliance & Documentation
+ Tracks and maintains current documentation for expirable items such as annual flu policy compliance, licensure, certifications, and insurance for all credentialed providers.
+ Ensures compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations, maintaining a thorough understanding of their contents.
Administrative Excellence
+ Demonstrates close attention to detail in all credentialing and documentation activities.
+ Prioritizes tasks effectively to manage daily responsibilities and meet deadlines.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
**Minimum qualifications** :
+ 2 years of Administrative support experience
+ High School Grad or Equiv
Preferred qualifications:
+ Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)
+ Associate
