Summary:
The PRN Sterile Processing Technician cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles, packages, and sterilizes surgical instrumentation and identifies those needing repairs. The position adapts to schedule changes and responds professionally, routinely attends in-services and makes professional use of downtime. Follows established priority list, edited O.R. schedule, and telephone requests for required instruments. Demonstrates the ability to articulate and document department policies and findings.
Responsibilities:
Assists in supply support of the PeriOp team when required
Maintains compliance with annual mandatory education, department competencies and entity specific policies
Experienced with Instrument Tracking systems
Self-motivated with only some management assistance

Credentials:
+ Cert Board Steril Process Dist (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
+ H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
+ Education Specialization:Equivalent Experience:•1+ years sterilization experience in a hospital setting
