The Resource Industries Operations & Products Division (RIOP) FP&A Consolidations Team is seeking a Lead Sr. FP&A Accountant in Peoria.

In a Senior Accounting position, you will provide expertise on complex business, financial or managerial issues within a business unit or corporate environment. You will have the opportunity to become one of our future business leaders. You will be in a position to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as high levels of leadership and initiative.
What You Will Do:
+ Analyze and understand profit impact and have a broader perspective on specific accounting issues.
+ Lead all division financial forecasts (ABP, RBM, Monthly Refresh) including the communication of deliverables, financial consolidation, analysis, and accountable submissions
+ Active leader in the development and support of business strategies and process improvements.
+ Identifying opportunities for efficiency and improved reporting through analytics and optimization
+ Prepare and submit monthly results presentations to senior division leadership
+ Manage all monthly corporate Form M analysis submissions
+ Work closely with the RI Segment team and support various requests
+ Resolve issues independently
+ Lead and/or direct teams within or outside of discipline addressing complex problems
+ Take full responsibility for outcomes
+ Financial accounting, including consolidation, analysis, and communication of division results.
What You Have:
+ **Analytical Thinking:** Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
+ **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
+ **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
+ **Managing Multiple Priorities** : Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
+ **Financial Reporting:** Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
What Will Set You Apart:
+ 6+ years of accounting experience with increasing responsibilities
+ Business Unit experience with financial planning & analysis
+ Demonstrates initiative, leadership, good judgement and accountability
+ Strong analytical, process improvement and problem-solving skills
+ Comprehensive knowledge of Caterpillar businesses, products, suppliers and customers
Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $189,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
