Job Summary:
At Caterpillar, we are building a better world by powering progress and innovation. As a Lifecycle and OIA Manager in the Global Cabs Team, you will lead strategy development and implementation for lifecycle management and other cross-product improvement initiatives. This role is pivotal in delivering customer-centric solutions throughout the life of our products.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, customer support, and dealer networks to define requirements, establish priorities, and ensure successful execution of solutions. Your work will directly influence processes and products that impact the customer experience throughout the lifecycle.
What You Will Do:
+ Define the service strategy for cab and component offerings based on historical data and projected needs
+ Monitor the aftermarket business portfolio and coordinate alignment between manufacturing and pricing teams
+ Explore and propose new aftermarket opportunities to improve the customer and user experience throughout the product’s lifecycle
+ Lead design simplification initiatives to streamline value chain and manufacturing while improving consistency of offerings for our customers
+ Lead cross-product line initiatives for safety & quality improvements
Education requirement:
Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
What skills you will have:
Project Products and Services
+ Proven working knowledge managing product lifecycle within a complex portfolio, including new product introduction and end-of-life planning.
+ Strong understanding of aftermarket business and processes, including service parts forecasting and lifecycle cost analysis.
+ Knowledge of the global footprint of supply base and customers of cabs and cab components, ensuring alignment with regional compliance and market needs.
+ Ability to identify opportunities for cost optimization and value engineering throughout the product lifecycle.
+ Knowledge in aligning product strategies with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
Technical Excellence
+ Deep understanding of cab systems, including fabrications, HVAC, seats, operator interfaces, and integration with machine controls.
+ Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing methods including fabrications, assembly, electrical testing, leak testing, and ergonomic validation.
+ Familiarity with Caterpillar’s machine platforms and how cab systems integrate across product families to ensure modularity and scalability.
+ Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications to support design reviews and quality assurance.
+ Skilled in applying DFMEA/PFMEA and other quality tools to improve reliability and safety.
Influencing Through Expertise
+ Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to improve processes and execute initiatives across engineering, supply chain, and operations.
+ Ability to develop and articulate strategies in a way that builds buy-in from process partners and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
+ Skilled in scenario planning and risk assessment to guide decision-making under uncertainty and mitigate supply chain disruptions.
+ Strong communication and negotiation skills to influence suppliers and internal teams toward common goals.
+ Experience presenting technical and business cases to leadership for investment and resource allocation.
Project Management
+ Track record of successfully completing complex projects on time and within budget, including global product launches.
+ Skilled in managing competing priorities and resources to meet business objectives while maintaining compliance and safety standards.
+ Proficient in balancing short-term deliverables with long-term innovation and growth initiatives.
+ Expertise in using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SAP, or similar) to monitor progress and report KPIs.
+ Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment across multiple regions and functions.
Additional Information:
This position requires the candidate to **work onsite five days a week at the Mossville, IL office.**

Summary Pay Range:
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00
