What Your Day Might Look Like
You will be responsible for managing daily operations of the rehabilitation services department consisting of of ___ Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, and Rehabilitation Aides You will provide guidance in setting the departmental goals and objectives while keeping patient care quality as a priority. Mentoring and coaching our Team Members to build capabilities within the department and participates in medical conclaves to stay updated on latest trends in the rehabilitation landscape.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Facilitates the development and implementation of policies and procedures across rehabilitation services department. Ensures conformity to patient care standards.
2. Prepares and monitors department's annual operating budget; analyzes trends and identifies reasons behind variances while making appropriate adjustments as required.
3. Manages quality assurance programs for the department; identifies opportunities for process improvement and inculcates a culture of efficient and cost effective patient care.
4. Encourages staff development activities; mentors and provides guidance to the team on complex patient issues.
5. Plans appropriate methods of treatment as determined by patient need and departmental standards, utilizing safe and effective means of treatment.
6. Stays abreast of latest trends in rehabilitation landscape by attending medical conferences, conclaves, and seminars. Advocates adoption of industry best practices.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Is this you?
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in healthcare is required, MS/PhD, strongly preferred
+ Valid NJ PT, OT or SLP license is required
+ Leadership experience in a large acute care setting is strongly preferred
+ 3-5 years of experience in healthcare or a related field is preferred
+ Advanced clinical practice designation evidenced by Board Certification or Advanced Degree attainment of specialization is preferred
+ Minimum of 3 years managerial experience is strongly preferred
