Provide support to the Imaging Technologists as well as Radiology Nursing staff, while working to ensure comfort and saftey for our patients while they undergo medical imaging

Principal Accountabilities:

Work under the direct supervision of the Assistant Radiology Nurse manager, as well as the Radiology Leadership team including lead technologists

• Assist patients in a timely, and efficient manner.

• Handle situations with a high-level of integrity and compassion.

• Ability to safely move and assist patients in physically demanding tasks

• Possess basic computer and data entry skills.

• Transports patients safely to and from the Emergency Department and inpatient units to the Radiology Department.

• Able to assist patients from wheelchairs and stretchers to imaging tables.

• Restocking of exam rooms and supply closets. Will assist the Radiology RNs and Lead Technologists in the restocking of clinical supply closets and assist in checking for expiration dates on supplies, as well as helping maintain department cleanliness.

• Adhere to all department and hospital policies and procedures and as directed by department leadership.

Required

High School Diploma/GED required

No prior experience needed

Previous experience in a healthcare setting or transport role preferred

BLS Certification Required
