Description
Steiner Industries, a division of Bunzl, is seeking an **Operations Assistant** for our production center in Chicago. The Warehouse Operations Assistant will perform a variety of administrative and physical functions to ensure the timely and accurate safe packaging, processing, loading, and unloading of shipments that pass through the warehouse.

_Responsibilities:_
+ Maintain and record all EHS data
+ Coordinate with the safety committees and teams to ensure everything is being addressed in a timely and accurate manner
+ Work with Corporate EHS team, preparing for safety audits
+ Ensure all safety training is completed and documented
+ Work within the SAGE X3 ERP system on tasks such as shipping, receiving, order processing and assembly entry; responsible for the accuracy of the work
+ Work with Production Department and Inventory Control to ensure that all required materials and supplies are available
+ Maintain in an organized and complete fashion all necessary records and files of the warehouse
+ Work with internal and external Sales team on status of orders and advises on interruption of service
+ Assist with site’s Operations Manager as needed
_Requirements:_
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ 3-5 years of experience in an office, warehouse or distribution center environment
+ General knowledge of office functions with good administrative and clerical skills
+ Self-starter with high energy levels, customer service orientation and good organizational skills
+ Computer and keyboard skills and moderate understanding of Word, Excel and Outlook
+ Strong understanding of SAGE X3
+ An ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented warehouse environment
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Self-motivated, self-starter, and high levels of creativity
+ Ability to get the job done with little continued supervision
