Job Description
Purpose:
Payroll Administrator I, under general supervision, is responsible for providing payroll accounting services for TEES, TEEX, TTI and the College of Engineering. Responsible for collaborating with representatives and coordinating pay calculations. Reviews and research information and transactions to detect payroll discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
+ Contribute to Payroll Processing Team by processing Workday Payroll tasks which includes:
+ Review and process payroll retroactive reports researching any discrepancies.
+ Work with System Member Benefit Partners to coordinate retroactive benefit entries.
+ Review and approve Payroll Partner inbox tasks such as assign pay group, withholding orders or ongoing payroll inputs or on-demand payments.
+ Reviewing supplement payments and emoluments for accuracy and compliance and entering them as payroll inputs or on-demand payments.
+ Reviewing multiple payroll reports to ensure monthly and biweekly payroll is complete, accurate and in compliance with Agency, System, State and Federal rules and regulations.
+ Answers general payroll and other financial questions, serving as a resource to solve payroll related problems for departments and employees.
+ Partners with Centralized HR Staff to act as the Payroll Liaison assisting and training departmental payroll administrators as needed.
+ Review, update and create processes and procedures for the payroll processing manual.
+ Printing Payroll checks.
+ Other duties as assigned.

+ Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
