Job Summary and Qualifications
The Program Coordinator, Health Services & Population Health Research provides complex operational support to the portfolio of research projects, relations with our various research partners, and regulatory and ethical requirements related to research. This position is responsible for interpreting CSG/research regulations and developing, communicating and executing implementation strategies/approaches for demonstrating research compliance across the enterprise in support of the HCA research agenda.
Major Responsibilities:
•Contribute to the development and execution of the CSG research strategy by managing day-to-day activity in the planning and implementation of all research projects. Provide complex administrative and project support for the research overall research program.
•Lead and manage the coordination of the research projects with internal stakeholders outside CSG (e.g., ITG, legal, privacy, internal audit etc.) and with outside stakeholders (e.g., Harvard Pilgrim, UC Irvine, etc). Build and strengthen research partnerships among various groups.
•Collaborate with the Director of Research and Scientific Communications and the Data and Analytics leadership team to manage and prioritize the activities of the research data analytics group in support of the multiple research projects.
•Conduct comprehensive project and support work status reviews. Communicate appropriate status and outcomes with the research and CSG leadership and outside stakeholder leadership, and provide timely and accurate information and status updates, along with issue and risk management.
•Facilitate effective communications among all team members to ensure comprehensive understanding of needs, expectations and requirements. Escalate to and collaborate with research leadership on project progress, issues and risks to identify next steps, solutions, etc.
•Evaluate project and issue management processes to identify functional gaps and potential solutions. Implement and maintain a series of controls to mitigate risks and ensure adherence with all company and department policies and processes.
•Maintain extensive program records (master files) and complete regular progress reports within HCA and externally to our collaborators. Locate and compile information and formats reports, graphs, tables, records, and other sources of information.
•Attend meetings with partners to get input and feedback on the research program. Serve as a liaison among CSG Research, CSG Data, and ITG to ensure appropriate resource allocation, prioritization of projects, and timely completion of requests.
•Serve as a departmental resource for CSG on ad hoc projects requiring communication, data visualization, presentation support and website maintenance. Assist with publication review and approval process including PubCLEAR.
•Demonstrate a “service mentality” with attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to follow and facilitate documentation requirements, project activities, progress and proper execution of decisions.
Education & Experience:
•Bachelor's degree and 1 plus years of experience in a leadership capacity required
•3+ years of experience in project management preferred
