Description:
The Lab CSR provides administrative and customer service support to the Laboratory. They are responsible for answering phones and questions pertaining to tests, results and other laboratory functions; communicates and collaborates with phlebotomy staff, management and others to provide customer service perspective and relay trends leading to enhanced lab services. Performs general office functions and data entry, including tracking and presenting in quality assurance meetings. Decision making authority extends beyond prioritizing of own work to basic to advanced problem solving – inquiring of or asking questions.
40hrs per week, day shift
Education
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent
Credentials/Licensure
Preferred: Phlebotomy Certification
Related Experience
Preferred: One year administrative and customer service experience
One-year medical office or laboratory experience
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Good knowledge of medical terminology.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Attentive to detail.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to make decisions within the scope of position.
Computer Competency
Familiarity with standard desktop and Windows based computer systems, including email, e-learning, intranet, and computer navigation. Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions.
