Job Title: Lab AssistantJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Assistant to cultivate mammalian cells using aseptic techniques in bench and pilot scale bioreactors for the production of monoclonal antibodies. The role involves sterilization, sanitization, and operation of these bioreactors, as well as daily sampling. You will also hydrate an array of medium and buffer inventory and produce various nonclinical reagents to support research and development activities.

Responsibilities

+ Cultivate mammalian cells using aseptic techniques in bench and pilot scale bioreactors.

+ Sterilize, sanitize, and operate bench and pilot scale bioreactors.

+ Conduct daily sampling of bioreactors.

+ Hydrate an array of medium and buffer inventory.

+ Produce various nonclinical reagents in support of research and development activities.

+ Maintain accurate and complete records consistent with company policy and legal requirements.

Essential Skills

+ High School Diploma or Associate's Degree in science or engineering.

+ 0-2+ years of experience, or a combination of training and experience.

+ Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and safety protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous laboratory experience preferred.

+ Experience in cell culture and media preparation.

+ Experience in inventory management or media/buffer preparation is a plus.

Work Environment

You will work in the Bioreactor Scale-Up and Development group within Pre-Clinical Manufacturing and Process Development. The position involves supporting lab work by operating pilot and bench scale bioreactors. The schedule is Monday to Friday with weekend work required on both Saturday and Sunday, totaling 40 hours per week. This is a Contract position based out of Tarrytown, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
