Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects in solid waste management, including landfills, landfill gas systems, composting facilities, and related infrastructure. Responsibilities

+ Apply advanced engineering and scientific principles to solid waste and environmental projects.

+ Design and draft using AutoCAD Civil 3D, perform calculations, and prepare detailed drawings.

+ Develop engineering reports, permit applications, and technical documentation.

+ Make independent decisions on engineering methods, coordinate project work, and represent the company at meetings and industry events.

+ Conduct field work in varied terrain and weather conditions.

+ Handle office-based tasks such as drafting, calculations, site plans, facility diagrams, and permit applications.

+ Support business development through proposal preparation, client meetings, and participation in conferences and trade shows.

+ Collaborate with senior engineers for guidance on complex challenges.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related discipline).

+ 4+ years of civil engineering and/or solid waste design experience.

+ E.I.T. certification required, P.E. license preferred.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

+ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in design, civil engineering, piping design, landfill design, gas pipeline, site design, land development, stormwater, wastewater, and facility design.

+ Strong report writing skills.

Work Environment

The position requires being on-site 5 days a week during the contract period, with a potential hybrid work option available after conversion. The work environment is dynamic, involving both fieldwork in varied terrain and weather conditions and office-based tasks. This is a Contract position based out of Bedford, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
