    Job Description

    Join a global leading supplier of magnet wire as a Lab Technician, where you will be an integral part of the magnet wire testing laboratory. The role involves completing quality tests on magnet wire to ensure adherence to quality specifications, assisting in preparing magnet wire enamels, thinners, and lubricants, and performing inspections and analyses of raw materials and chemical products.

    Responsibilities

    + Complete quality tests of magnet wire for quality specifications, investigation, design proposals, R&D, improvement, performance, etc.

    + Perform testing on QA and experimental runs, action requests, sample orders, etc.

    + Assist in preparing magnet wire enamels, thinners, lubricants, etc.

    + Perform inspection and analysis of raw materials and chemical products to assure adherence to specification.

    + Execute a range of tests with attention to detail being imperative.

    + Read, understand, and use detailed instructions; perform testing, enter data, present data, prepare reports or charts to report test results.

    + Use chemical testing equipment and measuring instruments.

    + Assist technicians, engineers, and management to analyze, solve, and correct problems.

    + Use computer programs, quality systems, and tools, and be involved in the quality management system.

    + Follow all procedures, methods, and guidelines to assure quality, safety, and production goals are met.

    + Enter records or write up data for company reports.

    + Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers to give and receive information while maintaining positive working relationships.

    Essential Skills

    + High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred

    + 1+ years GMP experience

    + 1+ years experience within quality and quality control lab tech roles

    + 1+ years experience with basic laboratory techniques

    + Ability to work a 3rd shift, 12-hour schedule

    + Written and verbal communication skills

    + Strong working knowledge of computers

    + Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO/QS/TS)

    + High attention to detail, organized, above average mechanical skills

    + Good analytical and problem-solving skills

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.40 - $21.65/hr.
