    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team, focusing on assembling prototype PC boards and assemblies for space applications and defense programs. This role involves collaboration with engineering teams to perform soldering, repair, and rework tasks based on J-Standard specifications. You will be contributing to complex projects in industries such as the Navy and Space, including partnerships with major primes like Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage, fabricate, and assemble high-quality and high-reliability electrical and mechanical systems for space applications.

    + Perform soldering tasks, including through-hole and surface mount techniques, and pcb assembly.

    + Interpret and assemble according to blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.

    + Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot, test, and reassemble components.

    + Work with small components, such as 20 and 32 gauge wires, often under a microscope.

    + Partner with engineers for troubleshooting and rework tasks in a cleanroom environment.

    Essential Skills

    + 3-7+ years of soldering and pc board assembly experience, including through-hole and surface mount techniques.

    + Experience with microscope assembly and J-Standard with Space Addendum certification is ideal.

    + 2+ years of experience in assembly for space, defense, or aerospace products.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering sketches.

    + Experience in test, inspection, and troubleshooting of avionics electronics and electro-mechanical components.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + IPC Certifications and experience with NASA Space specs or Defense Specs.

    + Experience with mechanical assembly, including the use of torque wrenches.

    + Experience in prototype and R&D environments, particularly in new product development.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
