    Position Title: Survey Crew Chief

     

    Job Type: Contract to Hire

    Position Overview

    A Connecticut-based firm is seeking a skilled and dedicated Survey Crew Chief with at least 5 years of experience to support a variety of field projects across the state. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in surveying procedures and equipment, along with leadership experience in managing field crews.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Conduct surveys for municipal infrastructure including:

    + Building and facility sites

    + Open land and development areas

    + Roadways, bridges, and streetscapes

    + Residential and commercial construction sites

    + Perform boundary, topographic, hydrologic, as-built, and construction stakeout surveys

    + Research land records and apply findings to field operations

    + Utilize robotic instruments and GPS systems for accurate data collection

    + Collaborate with project teams to ensure quality and timely deliverables

    Required Skills

    + Minimum 5 years of experience leading survey crews

    + Proficiency in:

    + Boundary and topographic surveys

    + Hydrologic and as-built surveys

    + Construction stakeout and land records research

    + Experience with robotic instruments and Leica Total Stations

    + Familiarity with Carlson Data Collectors, AutoCAD, GPS, and Microstation

    + Strong problem-solving skills in both field and office settings

    + Excellent communication and team leadership abilities

    This is a Permanent position based out of Rocky Hill, CT.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $42.00/hr.
