We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to handle wire harness issues, design, and assemble wire harnesses, and focus on process improvements including tooling and engineering. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a startup company with significant growth potential, supporting the defense industry.
Responsibilities
+ Handle wire harness issues and design solutions.
+ Assemble wire harnesses effectively.
+ Implement process improvements in tooling and engineering.
+ Collaborate with technicians, leadership, and design engineers.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 1 year experience in electrical engineering or manufacturing with a bachelor's in engineering, OR 3+ years as an engineering technician with leadership experience, OR 1+ year of wire harness experience.
+ Proficiency in computer applications.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards, SolidWorks, Creo, and NX.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred.
+ Hands-on manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
Work Environment
This role requires working closely with another engineer every day, with no hybrid or remote flexibility. The position is based on the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 2pm to 10:30pm, with occasional weekends. You will be part of a dynamic team in a startup environment, with a move to a new full-campus setting by the end of the year.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
