    Job Title: Mechanical Application Engineer

    Job Description

    Join a team dedicated to creating high-performance solutions for water management, irrigation, and municipal infrastructure. As a Mechanical Application Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing systems and supporting custom pump stations and control panels that serve a wide range of clients, including golf courses, cities, agriculture, and industrial sectors. This role involves a hands-on approach to projects that require precision, creativity, and collaboration, enabling you to bring ideas to life and solve real-world challenges. Your mechanical expertise will drive smarter water systems and sustainable infrastructure.

    Responsibilities

    + Collaborate with the sales team and customers to understand project requirements.

    + Read specification and project scope documents throughout the bidding process.

    + Develop preliminary engineering concepts and solutions for equipment.

    + Evaluate feasibility and provide input on design and performance parameters.

    + Prepare accurate and competitive pricing proposals for customers.

    + Collaborate with vendors for component selection, pricing, and application.

    + Serve as a primary point of contact for customers throughout the start of the project lifecycle.

    + Address customer inquiries, technical concerns, and provide timely responses.

    + Build and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance client satisfaction.

    + Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities, tailor proposals, and assist with closing deals.

    + Provide technical support during sales presentations and customer meetings.

    + Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices related to packaged equipment in relevant markets.

    + Continuously improve technical knowledge and expertise in product offerings.

    + Provide technical guidance to internal teams and customers.

    + Collaborate with various departments, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality control, to ensure project success and adherence to specifications.

    + Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to coordinate handoff to the project management team.

    + Prepare reports, project summaries, and technical documentation as needed.

    + Ensure that engineered solutions meet industry standards, regulations, and company quality standards.

    + Collaborate with the quality control team and project management team to address any quality-related issues.

    + Identify and resolve technical challenges and issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.

    + Implement effective solutions to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering preferred).

    + Preferred 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the equipment manufacturing industry.

    + Proficiency in engineering software and design tools.

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    + Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

    + Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + Willingness to travel for customer meetings and site visits as necessary.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience performing multiple duties such as design, estimating, quoting, pricing, customer service, aftermarket, and sales.

    + Understanding of Fluid Dynamics - ability to apply principles and equations - engineering calculations.

    + Pump station engineering experience is a plus.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in an office environment with a standard Monday to Friday schedule. Travel is limited to a few trips per year, averaging 10% annually, for learning opportunities. The company fosters a culture of collaboration and innovation, supporting multiple industries such as professional golf courses, data centers, municipalities, and industrial manufacturing.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Dallas, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
