Manufacturing Engineer
Description
-Design of manufacturing processes.
-Collaboration with small teams on in-house development of novel and complex manufacturing equipment.
-Specification development for manufacturing equipment.
-Close collaboration with external equipment suppliers on equipment design.
-Management of external equipment suppliers from equipment development through buyoff.
-Validation and characterization of new equipment and fixtures for introduction to the production floor.
-Partner with maintenance in root cause analysis of down equipment. Develop and implement changes to mitigate repetitive downtime.
-Partner with internal resources for in-house machinery upgrades and rebuilds.
-Understand usage and implementation of robots (Fanuc preferred). Use knowledge to identify areas where automation can be utilized to achieve increased productivity.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency designing mechanical equipment, fixturing and tooling in CAD (Catia preferred, SolidWorks is also a plus).
- Proven Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
- Well organized with meticulous attention to detail.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Midway, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
