    Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob Description

     

    The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed models and drawing packages using Siemens NX. Collaboration with engineers from various functions including Electrical, Mechanical, and Manufacturing to develop new designs is essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Take overall ownership and accountability for product definition for assigned projects from launch through production.

    + Perform detailed tolerance stack-up analysis.

    + Develop complete drawing packages and lead drawing reviews.

    + Prepare presentations and present at reviews.

    + Interpret and clarify customer technical expectations.

    + Develop low-cost solutions and meet unit cost targets.

    + Define and maintain technical compliance with customer requirements.

    + Develop design concepts for technical proposals.

    + Create fixtures and tooling.

    + Enhance legacy products and provide manufacturing support.

    + Engage in internal research and development.

    + Resolve field issues.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in Siemens NX for creating drawings and models.

    + Thorough understanding of Engineering Drawing Practices ASME Y14.100.

    + Thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in the aerospace industry is advantageous.

    Work Environment

    The role requires working with advanced design software and collaborating with a cross-functional team. The position may involve problem-solving in a dynamic setting and ensuring technical compliance with industry standards.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
