Job Title: Control System EngineerJob Description
The Control System Engineer is tasked with developing engineering designs, performing engineering reviews, and configuring and testing Control Systems that adhere to code, contract, and schedule requirements for projects across the Americas. This role is centered around Control Systems for large frame industrial gas turbines in simple cycle and combined cycle operations, potentially expanding to other control systems within the plant. Responsibilities also include customer training and providing both remote and on-site support.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with applications, estimation, and sales teams to develop new business proposals.
+ Design and review new design concepts and assist in developing new control systems.
+ Maintain and modify existing control systems.
+ Work alongside design engineers, operations engineers, purchasers, sales, marketing, and other internal staff.
+ Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, project management, and relevant authorities within cost and time constraints.
+ Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
+ Develop Requests for Quotations (RFQs) for purchasing equipment.
+ Configure Mitsubishi Control System HMI and Database.
+ Provide manufacturing support and inspect control systems, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
+ Support Field Operations with on-site installation of control systems.
+ Provide start-up commissioning, operations, and troubleshooting support for equipment failures, conducting root cause analysis and implementing solutions.
+ Prepare and submit reports regarding conditions, required actions, and results obtained.
+ Travel overnight by land and/or air, at least 10% of the time.
+ Conduct classroom and on-the-job training for Mitsubishi Control systems.
+ Perform additional duties as required.
Essential Skills
+ At least 5 years of experience in control systems engineering.
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Experience with EPlan, Netmation, PLC, DCS, UL508A, NFPA, NERC, HMI, and Control Logic.
+ Basic networking knowledge.
+ Experience with DIASYS Netmation Control System, PLC, or other DCS.
+ Familiarity with USA/International codes and standards (e.g., UL508A, NFPA 70 & 79A, CSA C22.1, IEC -1, NEMA).
+ Knowledge in industrial Control Systems Cyber Security requirements such as NERC CIP and IEC.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in Control System and Panel design, including equipment selection and I/O Module selection.
+ Control System retrofit experience.
+ Programming skills in C# or Visual Basic .Net.
+ Experience with EPLAN Electric P8 and Pro Panel software.
+ Working knowledge of power plant processes, operations, and control system design.
+ Experience with HMI Graphic Creating Tools and High-Performance Graphics.
+ Control Logic programming using Function Block Diagram and control narrative preparation.
Work Environment
The work environment is a multi-disciplined engineering office. The Control System team consists of 11 full-time employees, 2 interns, and 6 remote resources based in the Philippines. The role may require travel, and the work setting supports a collaborative atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Mary, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $76.92/hr.
