FOCUS Forward Resilience Coach The Focus Forward 3rd Shift Resilience Coach purpose is to ensures the safety, security, and well-being of young adults overnight. It fulfills it purpose by maintaining a calm, supportive environment by monitoring facilities, addressing needs, and responding to crises using trauma-informed care principles, helping participants rest and prepare for the day ahead. Responsibilities:
+ Demonstrates a clear understanding of Starr Commonwealth’s mission and core values, and consistently aligns actions with Starr’s mission and its core values of seeing greatness, finding courage, promoting health, fostering healing, and oneness.
+ Meet or exceed organizationally established standards of performance and outcomes.
+ Understand the philosophy of strength-based treatment, Core Values and treatment modality of Starr Commonwealth in working with youth and families.
+ Provide mentoring/behavioral support and academic enrichment to students consistent with Starr Commonwealth's belief system and approved treatment modalities. In doing so, role-model and provide guidance to school staff on doing the same..
+ Insure that the client is in a safe and positive environment at all times.
+ Build positive caring relationships with clients based on respect, trust and appropriate communication.
+ Ensures protection of all consumer confidentiality and compliance with the applicable laws of the State of Michigan, including the Michigan Child Protection Law, mandatory reporting, etc. and Federal HIPPA laws.
+ Advocate and coordinate appropriate referrals addressing educational, employment, psychological/psychiatric and social needs for youth and families. This includes obtaining and/or monitoring resources.
+ Provide services to FOCUS Forward clients within parameters set by the contract.
+ Work closely with the rest of the team in developing and updating required treatment plans and documentation for youth and families. Work in a Team Primacy milieu.
+ Assist or substitute other staff as needed to ensure continuity of care and case coverage. This includes providing appropriate and helpful feedback on problematic areas and behavior management skills.
+ Collect data and complete coaching logs consistent with standards set by Starr Commonwealth leadership.
+ Provide excellent customer service for all customers, both internal and external.
+ Exhibits punctuality to work, attendance, meetings, trainings, and other assigned duties.
+ Bring a helpful solution-based approach to work and with a team-based philosophy approach to the job.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ 2 years in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
+ Can demonstrate understanding of trauma-informed, resilience-focused approach
Job Details:
+ Pay Range: $52,000 - $56,000 annually
+ Job Type: Full-time, in person
+ Work hours: 10:00pm - 6:00am
