    Role Overview:

    This position is responsible for document management, data integrity, and workflow associated with creating and revising the Indiana Design Manual and INDOT Standard Drawings. This position requires an employee who has analytical and problem-solving skills, but also excels in document and data management. Excellent customer service is an expectation. This position support content owners navigating the revision workflow, provides document control and ensures revisions comply with INDOT standards. The position also updates and maintains to division webpages.

    Location:

    This position is located in INDOT’s Central Office.

    Salary:

    This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $42,900.00. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.

     

    A Day in the Life:

    The essential functions of this role are as follows:

    + Monitor, route, manage requests for new/revised design guidance and standard drawings

    + Ensure an orderly flow through the Design Manual and Standard Drawing publication process.

    + Proofread and edit Design Manual and Design Memos

    + Format and incorporate Design Manual revisions

    + Maintain division web pages

    + Monitor, route, manage inquiries. Analyze inquiries for commonality to inform focus areas for future work.

    + Complete archival of documents.

    + Coordinate the annual Standard Drawings publication process.

    What You'll Need for Success:

    You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:

    + Demonstrated attention to detail

    + Considerable knowledge with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Prog Acrobat Pro

    + Knowledge of data management software, including MS Access, MS Excel, SharePoint, PowerAutomate

    + Knowledge or commitment to learn basic web page design

    + Ability to speak the language of engineers, designers, technicians, contractors, project managers, consultants, and administrative staff

    + Organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks

    + Experience with construction, architecture, or engineering work environment, details, and processes
