    Compensation

     

    Salary $100,000-$110,000 Per Year Plus Excellent Benefits!

    Job Summary

    We are currently looking for a Regional Controller. This position will be out of our Plattsburgh, NY office. The Regional Controller will manage Regional monthly Financial/Accounting activities for multiple field facilities

     

    Core Competencies

     

    + Manufacturing facility cost accounting experience preferred

    + Minimum seven (7) years of relevant accounting experience in a leadership position managing a staff of direct reports.

    + Must be able to create and implement work plans, budgets and financial plans, prepare written materials, and articulate goals and action plans

    + Ability to influence others, resolve problems, and manage conflict in a positive manner

    + High degree of professionalism; ability to communicate with confidence and tact

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Strong leadership skills; ability to set objectives, delegate tasks, evaluate performance and develop a cross-functional team

    Main Responsibilities

    Functional/Technical

     

    + Direct the daily activities of the accounting department and provide oversight of the staff.

    + Manage monthly close process in a prompt, timely and accurate manner.

    + Prepare/review monthly/quarterly deliveries for corporate accounting and finance teams

    + Conduct/coordinate various month-end budget/financial review meetings with all locations in the Region

    + Review and approve monthly financial statements and support schedules.

    + Process improvement initiatives on closing and transactional processes

    + Provide oversight for the contract and subcontract agreement process, ensure contract compliance and monthly invoice process for services.

    + Work with internal accountants in the annual budget process and review monthly reports tracking budget to actuals.

    + Suggest billing rate recommendations, profitability models, project tracking tools, and accounting procedures to accountants.

    + Supervise and maintain all accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness ensuring all contract files are maintained.

    Education

    + BA/BS in Accounting or related field

    + CPA, CCIFP, or CMA preferred

     

    Safety And Working Conditions

    SAFETY

    + Participating actively in company safety programs, including safety huddles, one-on-one safety conversations, and reporting of close calls

    + Ensure safety in office environment

    + Fostering the safety culture by making good/safe decisions

    + Participating in safety incident investigation and following through on any corrective actions

    + Following all safety policies and procedures, including LOTOTO, Motor Vehicle Policy, Drug & Alcohol Policy, etc

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    + Ability to lift 50+ pounds

    + Office Environment

    + Occasional travel to sites

    + Occasional business travel (training/seminars)
