    Description

    We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to oversee and enhance the HR operations of our client's organization in Knoxville, Tennessee. This contract-to-long-term position offers the opportunity to lead HR strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a positive and productive workplace. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in employee relations, benefits administration, and contract management, along with a strong understanding of HR policies and practices.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, conducting interviews, and managing onboarding processes to build a diverse and skilled workforce.

    • Administer employee compensation, benefits, and leave programs while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

    • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that align with employment laws and organizational goals.

    • Organize and oversee employee training programs, including safety training, anti-harassment initiatives, certifications, and performance assessments.

    • Manage employee recognition programs and coordinate new team member orientations to promote a welcoming and engaging environment.

    • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal contracts, including understanding key elements such as Davis-Bacon Act requirements and payroll practices.

    • Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, terminations, and workplace investigations, while maintaining confidentiality.

    • Administer the Workers' Compensation Program, ensuring effective claims management and prioritizing employee safety.

    • Collaborate with management to address organizational initiatives, including performance management and detail-oriented development.

    • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with HR standards.

    Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.

     

    • At least five years of experience in a Human Resources Manager or Generalist role.

    • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including experience in a contract-heavy or government-focused environment.

    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in conflict resolution and negotiation.

    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and delegate responsibilities.

    • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with talent management tools, or willingness to learn quickly.

    • Preferred qualifications include HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP, and experience with federal contracts, including Davis-Bacon Act requirements. TalentMatch®
