    Description

    Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

    • System Design & Integration:

    o Analyze organizational needs and design integrated computing systems, including servers, storage, networking, and software.

    o Evaluate and implement hardware and software components to improve system performance and reliability.

    • Implementation & Configuration:

    o Install, configure, and test operating systems, virtualization platforms, and enterprise applications.

    o Develop and maintain system automation scripts and deployment tools.

    • Infrastructure Maintenance & Support:

    o Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and apply corrective measures.

    • Security & Compliance:

    o Implement and maintain system security controls and access policies.

    o Ensure systems comply with organizational and regulatory standards.

    o Implement, maintain and monitor network security and firewall protection.

    o Perform routine preventative security measures.

    o Adhere to cybersecurity frameworks (NIST).

    • Optimization & Innovation:

    o Analyze system data to identify performance bottlenecks and propose optimization solutions.

    o Research and recommend emerging technologies that align with organizational goals.

    • Collaboration:

    o Work with cross-functional IT and business teams to support enterprise projects.

    o Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers or support staff.

    o Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

    • Documentation:

    o Develop and document system architecture, configurations, and policies.

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

    • Proven experience with systems engineering, integration, and administration.

    • Strong knowledge of:

    o Microsoft Enterprise products (Windows Server, SQL, and Exchange)

    o Microsoft Cloud products (M365, Teams, OneDrive, etc)

    o Networking concepts (QoS, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching)

    o Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiClient, CLI)

    o Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)

    o Scripting and automation (PowerShell, etc.)

    o Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

    • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytic tools
