The challenge? Help provide and sustain clean water resources in our communities. Our water resources internship provides you with an opportunity to work on exciting and large-scale projects such as green stormwater infrastructure, water and sewer projects, and stormwater improvements. As a contributing member of a project team, you will perform a variety of tasks requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering and hydrology principles.
You will have the opportunity to use your technical skills as well as collaborate with our regional water engineering staff to support projects in the water / wastewater market. Your work could involve engineering studies, computer modeling, technical report writing, engineering design using CAD, and construction services support.
Our interns assist with a variety of tasks on civil, water, wastewater, and environmental projects for local and regional municipal and private clients. These assignments may include hydraulic evaluations, cost estimation, information tracking, use of GIS and CAD software, assisting with document and plan preparation, data entry, and project management support. We are looking for candidates with excellent oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, and team-oriented work practices.
* Pursing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited undergraduate program.
* Exposure to AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS.
* Solid working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ideally you'll have:
* Minimum GPA: 3.0
