Job Summary
Join our team as an Operational Excellence Intern where you will gain hands-on experience driving efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic operational environment. This full-time internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that optimize processes and support organizational goals.
Primary Duties
+ Assist in analyzing current operational workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of process improvement projects using established methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
+ Collect, process, and interpret data to provide insights that drive decision-making.
+ Participate in the creation of detailed documentation, including process maps, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
+ Support the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) and help track the progress of ongoing initiatives.
+ Contribute to brainstorming sessions and suggest innovative ideas to enhance operational effectiveness and productivity.
+ Engage in team meetings and training sessions to develop a deep understanding of operational excellence principles and practices.
Qualifications
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret data effectively.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration with diverse teams.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis and reporting.
+ Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen is a plus.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
+ Motivated self-starter with a keen interest in operational management and continuous improvement.
+ Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and demonstrate flexibility
+ This role does not provide sponsorship or relocation; Proximity to Warsaw,KY is a PLUS.
Education / Experience
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Prior internship or project experience in operations or process improvement is beneficial but not required.
