    Job Title: Payroll SpecialistJob Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to manage semi-monthly payroll, new hires processing, and ensure accuracy in time data entry and payroll reporting. The role also involves processing garnishments, benefits administration, and providing financial support services. You will work closely with the HR team, reporting directly to the CFO and Controller.

    Responsibilities

    + Process payroll for designated facilities on a semi-monthly basis using EZ Labor and Paycom.

    + Ensure all timesheets are correct and approved within Paycom, and supervise employee time approval in EZ Labor.

    + Maintain and update descriptions for EZ Labor pay groups, ensuring they function as designed.

    + Verify updates in EZ Labor and Paycom are implemented correctly.

    + Track employee personal days and leaves of absence using appropriate payroll codes.

    + Prepare payroll reports for the Department of Labor and other agencies as requested.

    + Prepare invoices for benefit processing.

    + Research and resolve all payroll-related inquiries.

    + Train employees on the proper use of the computerized timekeeping system, Paycom.

    + Manage Open Enrollment for designated facilities.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ years of payroll processing experience for up to 250 employees semi-monthly.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.

    + Experience with Project Based Journaling (PBJ) or healthcare/care facility payroll experience.

    + Experience in benefits administration and garnishments.

    + Familiarity with Paycom or other mid-size cloud-based payroll systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or three or more years of accounting experience, preferably in a not-for-profit environment.

    + Experience with automated accounting and payroll systems.

    + Knowledge of Relias and Point-Click-Care is preferred.

    + Strong oral and written communication skills.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills.

    Work Environment

    Work in an office setting within a medical facility. Due to being a non-profit religious entity, a dress code is enforced.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, OR.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
