The Principal Robotic Controls Engineer will lead the design and development of robot-assisted surgery systems, technologies, and applications to support strategic long-term product development roadmap. The engineer will perform system design, integration, design review, verification, and validation of multidisciplinary systems, technologies, and feasibility efforts including robotics systems, embedded software, electronics, mechanisms, cutting systems, and surgical navigation systems to deliver robotic-assisted orthopedics solutions. The engineer will collaborate closely with Program Management, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Advanced Operations, and Global Quality teams for Stryker customers per the product development roadmap
This role is hybrid in **Weston, FL** with the expectation to be in office 5 days a week.

What you will do:
+ Design and develop control algorithms and software to support advanced robotics functionalities.
+ Create and validate kinematic and dynamic models to enhance the performance and accuracy of the robotic arm.
+ Independently implement complex algorithms, author technical documentation, and drive testing processes to optimize reliability.
+ Evaluate and integrate new technologies, providing insights that shape future product innovation.
+ Contribute to cross-functional projects, collaborating with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and Clinical teams to ensure seamless project execution.
+ Actively participate in project meetings and design reviews to align objectives and drive successful project outcomes.
+ Identify process improvements and help develop policies and procedures that enhance team efficiency and product quality.
What you Need:
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelors in Robotics, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other related discipline required
+ 8+ years of experience
+ Proficiency in advanced control techniques for robotic or haptic systems.
+ Experience in robotic modeling, including kinematics and dynamics.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Proficiency in modeling and simulation languages (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink,C/C++)
+ Experience in various sensors, actuators, motors, and controller technologies
