Poult Service Room Technician

Full time – hourly

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation packag** **e** **. The base hiring pay for this role is** **$20.15** **per hour** **.

+ **Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States**

+ **Applicants must not now, or any time in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.**

Job Responsibilities

+ Load poults on conveyer for servicing

+ Confirm box number and flock numbers match

+ Careful handling of poults and attention to poult density

+ Stack Poult filled boxes

+ Transfer to holding room

+ Understand and meet the hatchery sanitation/biosecurity policies and procedures

+ Perform all required equipment and work area clean up

+ Occasional work on Saturdays or Holidays

+ Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

+ Ability to work a 10 to 12 hour shift

+ Basic math skills

+ Ability to grasp and pinch repeatedly with both hands, hand coordination to rotate wrists and manipulate poults with fingers and thumb of both hands

+ Be able to work in a moderately dusty environment continuously

+ Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time

+ Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
