Description

The services provided will involve enhancing and maintaining the network cybersecurity posture by identifying vulnerabilities, implementing best practices, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all digital assets and systems under minimal supervision.

This consultant will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities affecting the organization’s systems, data, and network. Will work proactively to assess risk, monitor systems, and implement controls that prevent security breaches. Utilize tools such as firewalls, SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection systems to detect and mitigate threats. Responsible for real-time monitoring of security alerts and providing regular reports on system vulnerabilities, attempted intrusions, and compliance status. Candidate will also maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and industry practices to continuously adapt defensive strategies.

• Experience in incident response, risk analysis, or vulnerability management.

• Experience working with compliance frameworks such as CJIS, NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA.

• Working knowledge with SIEM tools, endpoint protection, and firewalls.

• Knowledge of network security architecture and protocols.

• Scripting and automation experience.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• Availability for after-hours responses in the event of security incidents (as needed)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
