We support this account in HongKong and now also Europe and this role is one of the first IT hires in the U.S. They began by hiring 3 engineers in Europe and are now adding 7 more, and we expect this expansion to be similar stateside.
This role will provide application support to our US operations. Primary duties include identifying, responding to, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to applications and services, ensuring optimal performance and satisfactions for users and drivers. Reporting to the local technical team leader, you will collaborate closely with the local engineering and operations teams, as well as HQ engineering teams, to provide support, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the enhancements that drive the overall success of products. Additionally, you'll provide hands-on technical support during and after rollout, help localize and adapt systems, to support regional operations.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to end-to-end the company application, backend systems, tools, and workflows.
• Coordinate closely with local and HQ engineering teams
• Troubleshoot technical issues across frontend and backend stacks
• Customize tech tools for local data compliance and optimize workflows
• Handle issues involving sensitive data with highest level of integrity
• Engage in ongoing compliance improvements and actively participate in privacy discussions
• Engage in post-launch operational support, including monitoring, alerting, debugging
Requirements:
• 3+ years experience in software engineering or technical operations
• Generalist with the ability to work across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure
• Preferred experience in database (mysql) administration
• Demonstrated integrity and accountability in managing sensitive data and operational risks
• Experience in operational support, especially during launch periods
Tech Stack:
• Programming Languages: Java, Node.js, PHP (legacy systems)
• Frontend: React.js
• Other Tools: CI/CD pipelines, monitoring/logging systems (specific tools TBD)
• Database: MySql, redis
• Message queue: Kafka

- Prefer mandarin speaker but not required

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Brooklyn, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
