Join Pengate as our Infrastructure Team Lead! The Infrastructure Team Lead is responsible for leading a team focused on delivering secure, scalable, and efficient cloud-based infrastructure services, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure and Intune. This role ensures optimal performance of cloud environments, endpoint management, and identity/security solutions while driving innovation and best practices across the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities
* Leads a team of 3–5 employees in the Information Technology department.
* Consults in hiring, mentors, and trains new employees, including assisting in establishing and monitoring training and development plans.
* Acts as the senior advisor for the work performed by the Infrastructure Team.
* Provides input for performance evaluations that is timely and constructive.

What You’ll Do
* Collaborate with and mentor the Infrastructure team to ensure efficient support coverage and excellent customer service.
* Monitor and manage escalated Infrastructure tickets to ensure timely response and resolution of IT support requests.
* Develop and implement cloud-focused policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Analyze metrics and performance reports to identify security needs and cloud/network performance improvements.
* Manage and optimize the company’s cloud environment, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure services, ensuring efficiency, security, and scalability.
* Oversee Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, compliance, and security across laptops and tablets.
* Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues, provide hands-on support and manage Infrastructure projects as necessary.
* Act as the primary relationship owner & liaison between the Infrastructure team and other IT teams, fostering communication, collaboration, and cooperation on business-requested or IT-recommended implementations.
* Coordinate with other IT teams for incident resolution and project support.
* Ensure that all support documentation, FAQs, and knowledge bases are accurate and kept up to date.
* Oversee Infrastructure processes & procedures related to cloud identity, access, security, and networking.
* Train & assist IT team members.
* Evaluate tools and technologies to improve IT efficiency and user experience.
* Additional duties as required or assigned.
Scripting and Automation
* PowerShell: Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automating Azure and Windows Server administration tasks.
* Bash: Familiarity with Bash scripting for managing Linux systems.
What You’ll Need
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* 5–7 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
* Strong technical knowledge of cloud systems, mobile devices, network & IT security applications, and network systems.
* Excellent mentoring, communication, and customer service skills.
* Strong skillset in cloud technologies, with emphasis on Microsoft Azure and Intune, along with robust security and networking knowledge.
* Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration, MS Suite, and CRM applications.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
