About this Role
The Project Operations Manager will play a key leadership role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects across Quanta Services’ portfolio. This position oversees operational performance, project controls, resource management, and process improvement to drive consistency and excellence across projects.
What You'll Do
Project Oversight & Execution
+ Lead the day-to-day operations of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
+ Monitor project performance metrics including cost, schedule, and quality.
+ Implement standardized processes, tools, and best practices to improve project efficiency and consistency.
+ Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruption.
Operational Leadership
+ Collaborate with project managers, field leaders, and corporate teams to align operational goals with business objectives.
+ Oversee resource allocation, workforce planning, and subcontractor management.
+ Support project bidding and estimating efforts by providing operational insights and feasibility assessments.
+ Lead project startup and closeout processes to ensure compliance with company and client standards.
Financial Management
+ Manage project financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
+ Support the development of cost controls and reporting mechanisms to improve visibility into project profitability.
+ Partner with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate project billing and reporting.
Team Development & Leadership
+ Mentor and coach project teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration.
+ Facilitate training and professional development opportunities for project managers and coordinators.
+ Promote communication and alignment across cross-functional project teams.
Continuous Improvement
+ Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing process improvements.
+ Analyze project performance data to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
+ Champion the adoption of new technologies and systems that enhance project execution and reporting.
What You'll Bring
+ Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
+ 5–10 years of experience in project operations, project management, or construction management within a large-scale or multi-project environment.
+ Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
+ Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and operational KPIs.
+ Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
+ Familiarity with project management software and enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, scheduling, or cost control tools).
+ PMP certification or equivalent experience preferred.
Preferred Skills
+ Industry Knowledge: Experience in construction, utilities, energy, or infrastructure projects.
+ Process Optimization: Ability to design and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
+ Data-Driven Management: Strong analytical skills for interpreting project data and driving decisions.
+ Change Leadership: Proven success leading teams through organizational and process change.
+ Technology Integration: Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms.
