What You Will Do

As our Design Drafter for Automation, you will play a central role in turning complex concepts into clear, project-ready plans. Your work will guide project managers, field teams, and clients as you transform ideas into build-ready designs.

You will:

• Create and refine detailed drawings and plan sets for automation projects and control panel layouts

• Work closely with project leaders and field crews to align designs with real-world needs

• Use AutoCAD Electric to build, audit, and finalize drawings that meet our company standards

• Use graphics and visualization to tell the story of a project and communicate design intent

• Support the full project cycle from early concepts through final close-out

• Ensure all drawings meet accuracy, safety, and compliance expectations

What You Bring

• Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD tools, or the readiness to quickly learn AutoCAD Electric

• Ability to design projects from the ground up with strong attention to detail

• Confidence managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines without dropping quality

• Basic understanding of electrical work and a strong desire to grow within the automation field

• Clear and professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Natural curiosity, love for new technology, and commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences

• Valid driver's license and the ability to visit project sites when needed
