• About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Facilities Mechanic to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, you will responsible for maintaining and repair of wheelchairs, stretchers, and electrical/electronic beds, patient rooms and assists in maintaining the grounds. Additionally you will perform corrective and preventive maintenance for the facility utilities systems, i.e., (electrical, plumbing, HVAC).

• What You’ll Do

+ Performs preventive maintenance work orders/room inspections; completes required documentation

+ Completes work orders and responds to trouble calls and provides resolution

+ Follows department Safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures

+ Performs regular equipment rounds logs results

+ Responds to hospital emergencies such as fire drills, internal disaster, snow storms

+ Repairs wheelchairs, stretchers, hospital beds, tables, chairs and other equipment as needed.

• What You Bring

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Minimum of two years’ experience in Engineering or Maintenance

+ Higher education or additional facility maintenance training is preferred. Other closely related or relevant employment experience may be acceptable (ex: construction, hotel, school, property management In lieu of high school diploma or equivalent, candidates must have minimum of 10 years engineering or maintenance experience.).
