Amergis Healthcare Staffing is looking to hire a Certified Special Education Teacher to provide quality services to special education students anywhere from kindergarten through grade 12, through a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff. Key Details :

+ Schedule : Monday – Friday

+ Hours : 8:00am – 3:00pm

+ Pay Rate : $45-50

Duties and Responsibilities :

+ Prepares student education plans in consultation with parents and IEP team members.

+ Designs instruction, both individual and small group, which parallels the general education curriculum.

+ Serves as the coordinator of IEP implementation with general education staff.

+ Monitors student progress, participates in review and revision of student’s IEP, as appropriate.

+ Maintains accurate student records

+ Mentors and supports teaching assistants who provide support to students with disabilities

+ Assess students’ skills and educational needs and tracks student’s performance

+ Communicates to maintain positive relationships with students and their parents

+ Follows School District policies and procedures

+ Other Special Education Teacher related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university – (emphasis in appropriate field preferred).

+ Transcripts Preferred.

+ State SPED Teacher Certification Required ; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching, Standard Secondary Teaching, and Standard Special Teaching preferred.

+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.

+ Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.

+ Current TB test results and/or ability to take a PPD or chest X-ray.
