    Special Education Teacher – Multiple Openings

     

    Grade Levels: Multiple levels available - Kindergarten through 12th Grade

     

    Are you passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs? We’re hiring Special Education Teachers to join a collaborative and student-focused team in Rockford, IL. These are full-time positions in self-contained classrooms, with flexibility in location, age group, and scheduling based on your preferences.

     

    As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll work under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator to deliver high-quality instruction and support. You’ll play a key role in developing and implementing individualized programs that include specialized instruction, tutorial assistance, and collaboration with general education staff.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Provide individualized instruction based on student IEPs

    + Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

    + Create a classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth

    + Support students in developing academic, social, and life skills

    What We’re Looking For:

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + Valid Illinois teaching certificate (required)

    + Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the Learning Behavior Specialist Endorsement (LBS1) required

    + Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age

    Additional Requirements:

    + Current CPR certification (if applicable)

    + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)

    + Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
