Special Education Teacher (LBS1) –3rd–5th Grade | Short-Term Assignment – Elmhurst, IL

Start Date: November 3, 2025

End Date: February 12, 2026

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:15 PM.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to joinour team for a short-term assignment supporting 3rd–5th grade students in aself-contained classroom. This role is ideal for educators passionate aboutcreating inclusive, structured, and supportive learning environments tailoredto students with diverse needs.

Caseload Details:

+ 10 students

+ Disabilities include autism spectrum disorder, specific learning disabilities, functional needs, and communication challenges

+ Classroom support provided by paraprofessionals

Responsibilities:

+ Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals

+ Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers

+ Foster academic and social-emotional development

+ Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ Valid state teaching certificate (required)

+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) (preferred)

+ Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)

+ CPR certification, TB screening, and health certificate as required

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

+ Must meet all professional standards and regulatory requirements
