Job Purpose & Scope

Provides support for basic or low-complexity commercial construction loans and acts as a point of contact for the borrower or their staff. Explains compliance or construction related issues to the management team to ensure conformity with bank policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

+ General knowledge of construction lending procedures and standards.

+ Basic knowledge of bank regulations related to Office of Foreign Asset Control, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Anti-Money Laundering Act, and the USA Patriot Act.

+ Ability to identify challenges and collaborate with senior staff on a corrective plan of action.

+ Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment in decision making.

+ Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external clients.

+ Ability to work under close supervision.

+ Ability to work effectively and professionally with staff and management at all levels of the organization.

+ Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate flexibility in an environment with continuous change and exacting deadlines.

+ Ability to demonstrate effective customer service, organizational, and time management skills.

+ Ability to maintain confidentiality.

+ Ability to maintain attention to detail.

+ Ability to work extended hours including evenings and weekends, as necessary.

+ Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, and strong Excel experience.

Basic Qualifications

+ High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, statistics, or related field preferred.

+ 1+ year commercial construction monitoring or related work experience required.

+ Experience with AIA documents and other construction related documentation, preferred.
