\n Jovian Concepts, Inc is looking to hire a\x26nbsp;Hardware Engineer Level 2 for a great opportunity in the Annapolis Junction area.\x26nbsp; <\/span>

\n

\n

\n A current and active TS\/SCI Clearance with a Maryland Polygraph is required. No CCA\x27s will be accepted at this time.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

\n

\n

\n The Level 2 Hardware Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:

\n

+ Prepare functional requirements and specifications for hardware acquisitions<\/span><\/span>

+ Analyze hardware specifications and system\/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components to include servers, network devices, transmission media, storage devices, user interface devices, and special processors<\/span><\/span>

+ Ensure that problems with operational hardware have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user’s requirements<\/span><\/span>

+ Assist with preparing installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides<\/span><\/span>

+ Conduct site surveys; assesses and documents current site network configuration and site\-unique requirements<\/span><\/span>

+ Develop hardware installation schedules based upon set\-up, integration, and test timelines<\/span><\/span>

+ Train site personnel in proper use of hardware<\/span><\/span>

+ Recommend specifications for hardware acquisitions<\/span><\/span>

+ Prepare engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages<\/span><\/span>

+ Prepare drawings documenting as\-built configurations at each site<\/span><\/span>

+ Prepare site installation and test reports<\/span><\/span>

+ Configure computers, communications devices and peripheral equipment<\/span><\/span>

+ Prepare installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides<\/span><\/span>

+ Organize and directs hardware installations across multiple sites<\/span><\/span>

+ Design and verify tests<\/span><\/span>

+ Analyze and recommend hardware specifications for project\-unique or modified commercial hardware<\/span><\/span>

+ Assist with building simulations of proposed systems and provides hardware throughput analyses to system engineers<\/span><\/span>

+ Prepare Mean\-Time\-Between\-Failure and Mean\-Time\-To\-Repair analyses<\/span><\/span>

+ Analyze operational data to identify choke points, failure modes, and other data for design or maintainability improvements<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n <\/ul>\n <\/div>\n

Requirements<\/h3>\n

+ 10 years of experience as a Hardware Engineer analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions is required. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

+ A Bachelor’s degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

+ 5 years of additional hardware engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

+ Technician that has experience with wiring RF systems based on a schematic<\/span><\/span><\/span>

+ Familiar with hardware installation<\/span><\/span><\/span>

+ Familiar with electronic test equipment and electronic system troubleshooting<\/span><\/span>
