Special Education Teacher - Thrive Program

It is an educational program for students who have significant social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

For this position it includes strong behaviors and familiarity with data collection, and ARD work, I am requiring the usage of the G2 Screener for SPED Teachers.

Only needs SPED CERT!

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm (40hrs)

Pay: $45-48/hr

2 SLS Classroom Openings

SLS Classrooms: Contract teachers will provide instruction and support for students with high levels of autism who present significant behavioral and communication challenges. As special education teachers, they will i mplement programs such as Rethink, Unique Learning System (ULS), and discrete trial teaching, while maintaining strong routines, structure, and consistency. Teachers must also be skilled in data collection to monitor progress. Teachers will also be responsible for completing ARD paperwork and participating in ARD meetings.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited universitypreferred

+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state,contract/district regulations

+ Minimum of one year experience in teaching environmentpreferred

+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard ElementaryTeaching preferred

+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard SecondaryTeaching preferred

+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teachingpreferred

+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

+ Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
