Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher | $40–$45/hr | Short-Term | Madison, WI | December–March

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a dedicated Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher for a short-term assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. This role begins December 1, 2025, and runs through March 2026, offering a meaningful opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs during the winter months.

Position Overview:

+ Location: Madison, WI

+ Start Date: December 1, 2025

+ Duration: 13 weeks (through March 2026)

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week

+ Pay Rate: $40–$45/hr (based on experience)

+ Modality: In-person

+ Openings: 1

+ Flexibility: Full-time or part-time options may be available

Responsibilities:

+ Deliver individualized instruction to students with a range of disabilities

+ Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to implement IEPs

+ Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed

+ Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines

+ Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Qualifications:

+ Valid Wisconsin DPI license in Special Education (Cross-Categorical or equivalent)

+ Experience working with students with varying disabilities

+ Strong communication and collaboration skills

+ Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
