What You Will Do
Design electronic security systems per government regulations and strategic initiatives, optimize existing and legacy infrastructure, and provide advanced technology planning.
Design and maintain core electronic security system hardware architecture, topology, and redundancy.
This includes all surveillance bandwidth usage, storage, and application host requirements.
Create blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to define installation procedures.
Interpret vendor design documents utilizing knowledge of discrete level electronics for a variety of products.
Use technical knowledge, skills and expertise to mentor less experienced staff.
May guide team members in programming, troubleshooting, testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance.
Write a variety of non-routine programs for electronic security systems.
Implement custom or collaborate to design custom integrations into and with other business platforms or units outside of Physical Security to streamline multiple platforms.
Execute technical aspects of multiple projects with varying timelines and budgets including programming, graphics development, start-up, certification testing, customer training, close-out documentation, and on-going technical support.
Execute Electronic Security platform system upgrades, patches, firmware, project planning and execution, systems audits, and/or database management and manipulation for security requirements.
Install, upgrade, service and maintain electronic security software, hardware, and firmware application requirements.
Monitor and perform daily operations in multiple electronic security systems to ensure proper system performance and integrity.
Demonstrate equipment functionality, commission new systems, analyze performance and identify malfunctions at the highest tier of support.
Test, troubleshoot, and repair escalated electronic security equipment technical issues, low voltage troubleshooting, short circuits, ground, power, or physical inoperability on electronic and mechanical security devices with an understanding of how multiple systems are impacted and interact systematically.
Provide guidance and support for all Data/Telecom to ensure network connectivity for all security systems and end-point devices. Test and troubleshoot networking, topology and hardware in IP Programming, router, switch, and cellular devices.
Interact with multiple stakeholders to ensure network security, remediate hardware and software vulnerabilities, hardware, software, and deployment requirements, provide data from security systems to enterprise-wide platforms, ensure reliable security monitoring, alerting, and notification from electronic security applications.
Research, develop, and implement new security related products.
Maintain system records, licensing, and service level agreements (SLA) for multiple electronic security systems.
Design, plan, and maintain the disaster recovery plan for Electronic Security systems.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

What You Will Need
Preferred Bachelor's Degree Engineering, MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, other related field or an equivalent combination of formal education, technical certifications, and job-related experience: Significant relevant experience required.
Proficient in low voltage technical skills, knowledge in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, wiring, relay logic, digital and analog circuit, ethernet cabling standards for T-568B and power over ethernet.
Previous experience in access control, surveillance, programming arming/disarming systems, keypad bus, cellular communication, and zones.
Previous experience with part numbers and security manufacturers for HID proximity cards, Bosh, Axis, Mercury, DMP, and Sony.
Network experience in hardware IP programming, cellular device testing and troubleshooting.
Proficient in Windows, remote desktop, and basic logic programming.
Previous experience with electronic tools including multimeter functionality, wiring testers, POE injectors and various test and support gear, grinders, drills and cutting tools.
Previous experience with wiring diagrams and best security practices.
Ability to operate heavy equipment including boom lift, scissor lift, and single man lift.
Experience in network topology, subnets, routers, switches, and communication protocols.
Previous experience with databases, virtual OS environments, server clustering and failover, and program coding formats.
Previous experience with active directory attributes, OU's, Windows OS settings, and security practices.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Minimum Applicable driver's license.
Minimum Physical Security Professional (PSP) Certification, IT Certification, Computing Technology Industry Assoc.
Certification, Computing Technology Industry Assoc. A+ Certification, Network+ Certification.
Preferred Security Software Certification (DMP/Genetec), National Electric Manufacturers Assoc. Certification, and/or American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) Certification.
Ability to travel within a three-state area.
Position will consist of 10% travel.
Mobility to travel in and around office surroundings and job and training sites out of doors.
Able to operate tools and equipment required.
Lift and move objects weighing 30 to 60 lbs. occasionally.
Communicate and/or exchange information verbally.
Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
