    • _Pay Range:_ $25 - $26 per hour + $5,000 Sign on Bonus

    • _Schedule:_ Monday – Friday | 7:00am – 5:00pm

    Waste Connections of Nebraska is looking for a **safety-conscious Preventative Maintenance Mechanic** to join our growing team! This role is crucial in keeping our fleet running efficiently and safely by performing scheduled maintenance and inspections on our vehicles and equipment.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Perform **routine maintenance and inspections** on trucks and equipment

    + Conduct **oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and lubrication**

    + Inspect **brakes, fluid levels, belts, hoses, and other key components**

    + Identify **potential issues** and report necessary repairs to the lead mechanic

    + Maintain accurate **service records and reports**

    + Keep work areas **clean and organized** in compliance with safety regulations

    + Assist with **minor repairs** and support the mechanic team as needed

    What We’re Looking For:

    •️ Basic knowledge of **automotive/diesel maintenance and repair**

    •️ Experience with **preventative maintenance procedures**

    •️ Ability to **lift up to 50 lbs** and work in various weather conditions

    •️ Strong **attention to detail and problem-solving skills**

    •️ Basic knowledge of **tools, equipment, and safety procedures**

    •️ **Hydraulic experience** is a plus

    •️ A valid **driver’s license** (CDL is a plus but not required)
