Disney Entertainment (DE) is one of the three major business segments of The Walt Disney Company, consisting of Disney's entertainment media and content businesses, including its motion picture film studios, Disney General Entertainment Content, streaming services, and overseas media businesses.
The Content Planning & Analysis (CP&A) function reports into the DE DTC organization. The CP&A team collaborates closely with stakeholders across Disney Entertainment (DE) segment finance teams, Director-to-Consumer strategy, data analytics, research, operations, marketing, and programming teams.
Job Summary** **:
•This position will lead and manage content valuation and performance for Walt Disney Studios (WDS) content on Disney+. The Senior Manager, Content Planning & Analysis (CP&A) will be responsible for valuing content deals, tracking, evaluating, and contextualizing performance of content launches, working cross-functionally to determine the appropriate levels of content investment, and delivering value-added analytically driven insights to inform future content decisions. This individual will also develop strong relationships and partner closely with stakeholders across The Walt Disney Studios to deliver content performance readouts, inform greenlight and renewal decisions and help shape the content pipeline.
+ Define and continually improve methodologies and KPIs for evaluating content investments.
+ Work cross-functionally to translatelarge amountsof data into financial decisions and strategic insights to inform development and renewal decisions.
+ Develop strong partnerships with stakeholders across WDS and create breakeven and comps-based performance projections to inform their greenlight and renewal decisions.
+ Develop and operationalize content performance tracking andreporting;lead discussions of content performance withDEand studio leadership, as well as senior creative executives.
+ Identifyopportunities tooptimizeand maximize our content programming investment strategy based on ROI and effectively communicate this strategy to senior leadership.
+ Design and evolve workflows to efficiently scaleand align processes.
+ Oversee large and cross-functional department wide projects or initiativesdeterminedby the heads of the department.
+ Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing group of analysts

+ Analyses about content performance and business questions
+ Presentation development for executiveleadership
+ Project managementforongoing processes (e.g., MIBP, AOP) and ad hoc analyses
+ Managing and developing team,reviewingand coaching on work
Required Education,** **Experience** **/Skills/Training** **:
+ 7+ years of finance or strategy experience; preferably in a media/entertainment and/other technology environment
+ Rigorous analytical background and mindset with a demonstratedtrack recordof implementing successful business strategies.
+ Experience inleveragingdata and insights (digital consumption habits and media consumption patterns) to inform strategy and decision-making.
+ Meticulous attention to detail.
+ Strong understanding of finance and financial modeling.
+ Strong passion for content (a love for movies and TV).
+ Strategic, creative, and entrepreneurial mindset.
+ Superior organizational, prioritization, and time management skills; ability to execute against multiple, high-priority projects, witha keenattention to detail
+ Must be open to thinking outside of traditional models.
+ Highly developed written and verbal communications skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior management, staff, and external research professionals.
+ Advanced data literacy.

The hiring range for this position in California is $168,200.00-$205,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
