Overview

This Accounting Manager position is responsible for accounting activities related to Month-end Close and financial reporting, account analysis and documentation for BrightSpring Health Services Home Health and Hospice division operations with special emphasis on Joint Venture operations.

Responsibilities

+ Manages accounting and month end close procedures for group of joint venture home health operations

+ Manages monthly entries for non-controlling entries in consolidation

+ Reconciles management fees and intercompany expenses

+ Provides ad hoc reporting for partners

+ Assists with quarterly, and annual audit requirements

+ Reviews and approves reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements to ensure that they are prepared properly and follow-up on any unusual items

+ Prepares and reviews business line specific accruals and journal entries

+ Oversees maintenance of systems and controls that verify the integrity of systems, processes, and data

+ Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes, ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization

+ Maintains relationships with internal and external auditors

+ Ensures that all general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records monthly

+ Communicates key information to management

+ Supervises accounting staff and directs work of others

+ Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting required

+ 5-8 years in accounting, including 2-3 years in a supervisory role required

+ CPA preferred

+ Knowledge of general accounting and US GAAP required

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills required

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required

+ Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word and related accounting software required

+ Outstanding financial reporting and analytical skills required

+ Knowledge of internal and external audit requirements required

+ Ability to utilize new tools and technologies in a rapidly changing environment required

+ Knowledge of Oracle preferred

+ Knowledge of healthcare accounting preferred

+ Travel up to 25%
