About the Responsibilities
TheIT Infrastructure Supervisor (https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/capaz/classspecs/1329228?keywords=Information%20Technology%20supervisor&pagetype=classSpecifications) is responsible for management of the IT Infrastructure Division business functions, technical functions and the resources assigned to the Information Technology Architecture and Network Teams. This includes design, set up, governance, and escalated technical support for CAP's Cloud and On Premises Environments, Windows Servers, Workstations, and M365 applications, MDM, VPN, MFA, networks, firewalls, telephone and conference room equipment, as well as information security monitoring and alerts.
Some of the duties include:
+ Establish staffing requirements and organization. Define job performance standards, evaluate job performance, recommend personnel actions, coach and counsel employees, and take corrective actions. Interview and select personnel to fill positions. Promote employee professional development. Be a role model for employees.
+ Determine technical expertise required to support existing and new application and infrastructure technologies. Develop contacts and network inside and outside of CAP to establish needed resources.
+ Assist manager with developing and tracking department budget weighing industry & vendor changes, applicability to CAP, and impact to computer hardware, software, support, and training. Manage technology acquisition and forecasting for assigned division.
+ Lead teams to determine technology requirements. Research and evaluate alternative solutions, perform cost and resource analysis, and ensure proper and timely implementation. Maintain a high-level of client satisfaction.
+ Keep current with technology trends, industry standards, vendor changes and best practices. Determine impact for planning and implementation.
About the Qualifications
The successful candidate for this position will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus six (6) years of experience in information technology including at least five (5) years of experience as a senior administrator, engineer, architect or supervisor coordinating technical personnel and resources. OR, a High School diploma or equivalent with ten (10) years of experience in information technology including five (5) years as a senior administrator, engineer, architect or supervisor coordinating technical personnel and resources. Must have excellent analytical ability in applying information technology in a wide variety of disciplines and environments, detailed working knowledge and experience with those systems in your area of responsibility as defined above, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to relate technical concepts to persons at all levels of an organization. Have the ability to develop and implement performance standards, measures, and accomplishments and excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, team collaboration, and customer service skills.
