    Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is hiring a Psychologist Associate to work at the main hospital in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh.

     

    Under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, a Psychologist Associate provides psychological services which may include, but is not limited to, psychological testing, evaluations, and treatment.

    Responsibilities:

    + Provides input concerning appropriate tests and evaluation tools utilized by the division.

    + Administers, scores, and interprets appropriate standardized tests and behavior rating scales.

    + Prepares comprehensive, clearly written analysis/reports.

    + Cooperates in research projects as compatible with clinical schedule and patient needs.

    + Provides diagnostic developmental and behavioral assessment of patients with a variety of developmental, behavioral and mental health concerns.

    + Conducts focused interviews to elucidate the nature of the presenting problem as well as relevant developmental, psychological, behavioral and social contributions to the problem.

    + Provides behavioral health services, using empirically validated treatments and interventions.

    + Provides behavioral health services in using an acute and maintenance model.

    + Schedules sufficient volume of patients so that direct service productivity standards are maintained within the department.

    + Practice in a way that recognizes and respects diverse populations.

    + Screens for the presence of safety and priority issues and takes appropriate action when identified.

    + Maintains regular supervisory time with a licensed psychologist.

    + Master's degree in psychology or related field and actively enrolled in a program to obtain an advanced degree in Psychology.

    + 1 year experience in psychology or related field.

    + Excellent clinical interviewing and assessment/therapy skills to work with patients and families.

    + Strong interpersonal skills.

    + Actively working towards PA Psychologist License.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
