We are hiring for a Systems Engineer 3 for our Barrigada, Guam location.

Responsibilities

+ Provide network system engineering services to assist the Joint Region Marianas (JRM) Chief Information Officer (CIO) with developing designs and configurations for JRM.

+ Provide CIO with subject matter expertise in establishing, implementing and documenting a design framework for managing post cloud transition while ensuring compliance with Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, and other applicable directives

+ Provide senior level design and migration support for move to cloud architecture in Navy directed network consolidation and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure when required.

+ Build a network infrastructure, properly select commercial networking devices and generate necessary system diagrams

+ When required, provide Tier III Systems and Network direct support and troubleshooting of respective classified and unclassified networks. Monitors and manages Server and Storage Infrastructure

+ Develop, review and provide recommended revision/updates to technical documents related to network design, configuration, sustainment, and upgrade.

+ Provides OJT for systems for shore technicians. May be required to mentor civilian/government technicians.

+ Documents all issues and resolution of issues using SharePoint FSET Engagement Status Reports and after-action reports. Provides reports to Fleet Readiness Directorate as directed.

+ Candidate must be capable of working independently with little or no supervision in a high operations tempo environment and be willing to work a flexible schedule. Other than normal working hours may be required.

Qualifications

+ Minimum Qualification:

+ BS in Information Technology (or equivalent technical degree) or 8+ years technical experience in related discipline required.

+ 8+ years of experience with DoD enterprise or Navy networks. Fleet experience highly desired.

+ 8+ years of experience in troubleshooting networks and operating system issues across multiple systems.

+ 4+ years of experience designing, deploying, and maintaining virtual desktop environments, with a recent focus on cloud-hosted solutions

+ Preferred Certifications:

+ IAT2 certifications required for IA (Security+ CE or equivalent) required.

+ One or more of the following OS certifications are required: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX), Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty.

+ CISCO CCNP (min) highly desired.

+ Skills:

+ Must be able to troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity, for IT and RF communications systems, involving multiple sites and multiple systems.

+ Must be able to provide OJT to technical personnel

+ Must be able to read, understand and interpret technical documentation, schematics, SOPs, and other documents relating to the operation and configuration of Navy C4I Systems

+ Must be able to communicate well both orally and in writing.

+ Must be able to communicate well with senior Navy officials and technical personnel.

+ Clearance:

+ Top Secret Clearance required.
